Jason Pacchiarotti is the compliance officer. In 2001, he earned his B.S. degree in Biotechnology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked for several years with Zymo Research Corporation in product development. He successfully developed kits for detection of DNA methylation at CpG sites and for genomic DNA isolation using a silicone column. He also enhanced their chemically-competent bacteria technology. His time at PrimeGen Biotech has been spent specializing in testicular cell isolation and germ line stem cell culture in male and female mice. He has been instrumental in characterization studies and propagation of germ line stem cells from the mouse ovary, and primate testes. He is co-author of several publications and abstracts presented at reproductive and stem cell meetings.
Scott Greilach is a Research Associate II. In 2009, he earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California Irvine. While attending UC Irvine, he sequenced the BRCA2 gene of male breast cancer patients and identified new mutations in this gene. In 2010 he co-authored a paper containing this work. Scott joined PrimeGen Biotech to help operate the animal facilities and is in charge of maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals. His research experience includes cell isolations, transplantations, histology and ICSI.
Karina Zaragoza is a Research Associate at PrimeGen. Karina has a BS in Zoology from Cal Poly Pomona and is a Registered Lab Animal Technician. She has focused on animal husbandry in addition to becoming a Histological research specialist. Karina developed procedures for frozen and paraffin sectioning and various staining methods. She helps to maintain lab SOPs and routine lab maintenance.
